computer screen virusViruses are man-made programmes which are sent round the Internet to inflict harm on computer users, home and businesses alike. Just as humans pick up viruses at anytime, there are similarities with computers connected to the Internet. If you want to lessen the chance of being a victim of a virus as a human being, there are certain things you can do such as increasing your Vitamin C intake, diet change, etc.  So it is with computers the same advice!

THE PROBLEM.....As soon as you connect to the Internet, you are open to a world of viruses which could have a devastating effect on your pc (making it ill).  So its worth taking just a few inexpensive measures to protect it.

THE SOLUTION.....Thankfully, there are ways you can prevent yourself being that victim. Internet security software almost always has within it, an anti-virus element. This will protect your surfing the internet, scan files which you may wish to download and monitor and scan incoming and outgoing e-mail. Dependent upon the type of software available, this can be set at default or advanced level. Most types of software installation have a wizard system that will walk you through the settings you need. in the course of installing the software.

Its vitally important to ensure that you receive regular updates for the software to ensure your protection against viruses is always current. This can be done manually, but more often than not this is set to automatic updating once your software is installed
