I WANT PICTURES, GRAPHICS AND ANIMATION.....

A website without these items would be dull and uninspiring. Conversely, a website which is packed with pictures, animations and all singing, all dancing features can send someone away. There's a balance to be had. With care, BJ Design can get the balance right for you. At the end of the day it still your choice what's included. We suggest you try and avoid having animated images on your pages, Certainly not dancing skeletons and animals! Photos are usually the best provided they are not copyrighted. WHAT WILL I GET IN MY WEBSITE?

The first page which you need and which visitors will arrive at is known as the Home Page. This is reached by typing into a browser something like www.bj-design.org.uk. On the page you would normally expect to see a heading (or banner), a welcome, description of you or your organisation, and most importantly a navigation bar which visitors can select other pages you have published of their choosing. If you think of a book with a main heading with chapters with text and pictures, you've got the idea!

OTHER FEATURES FOR YOUR WEBSITE.....

Now you have read what a basic website consist of, the may like to think of other features. A Contact Form for people to send their enquiries /messages etc is always encouraged. Your address and telephone number is useful. Should you have a large number of pages and information, you are encouraged to have a Search facility (probably on the home page) It can send people to the exact information they need in the website.
